Recycling

Forgive me in advance for inadvertent typos. I just can't type. We talked today in my friends quilting class about recycling, and talked art projects made of colorful bags newspapers come in and Barbie dresses and bedspreads made of Kleenex. We shared buttons and beads from vintage fabrics and talked uses for old craft kits not finished, or UFO's, "unfinished objects." One idea is to place them in tissue in a pretty box for a future child, grandchild, or daughter-n-law to finish. I love that idea. There are also craft museums and the Strong National Museum of Play that might take kits for dolls, toys, and kids crafts. Just a couple ideas for uses of recycling objects, and saving things. I bought a role of fishing line for a quarter to use for beads, and another mother mentioned using dental floss for necklaces. It's alll about looking around the house and using what we have to conserve resources.
