Uh Oh, Spaghettios! For Grown-ups!

I had a culinary epiphany earlier today, as I dined again at my desk, where I am usually found dining on weekdays.  I keep a selection of nonperishable foods around for these occasions, naughty processed things that they are.  Today, I had a microwaveable Spaghettios, made with whole wheat and semolina ring pasta, and tomato sauce with cheese.  Under $1, microwaveable, and still tasty after all these years.

Then, the epiphany tickled my taste buds. How to dress it up? Well, how easy it would be to carry a slice of fresh mozzarella, or a sprinkle of goat's cheese to add before it's "nuked!"  Then, along with the cheese, to add a leaf or two of fresh basil, or a spring of fresh rosemary would be divine.

One could even chop up tiny cocktail weinies that come in a can, and add them before microwaving. Tiny canned or fresh shrimp would make instant shrimp marinara.

Voila!  Health meets processed, and it's lo cal.

Add a small baguette from Panera or your local baker, and we have lunch.  Bon apetit!
